There's no crying in baseball!

Going to a Mariner's game tonight to kick off the summery weekend!

(Although I prefer to root for the Rockford Peaches)

Best scene:
What if at a key moment in the game my, my uniform bursts open and, uh, oops., my bosoms come flying out? That, that might draw a crowd, right?

have a peachy weekend!

Poem for your Friday

The Going

The cloth edge of certainty
has shredded down to this:
God and love are real,
but very far away.
If I go to Istanbul, will I return?
That is not one of the permitted questions.
When I go to Istanbul, how will I bear to return?
I could slip into the small streets
that lead away from the souk, then run east
to the high plain and the Caucasus—

It's all alone, the returning,
the going. The cloth,
a soft holland whose blocks of blue and lemon
once cheered me in a skirt,
now dries dishes. God and love
are very far away, farther even
than the mountains in the east.

Because it's Friday...

*Sigh*
*Tear trickling out corner of eye*
*Wistful gaze out of window*

happy friday.

Watch the Birdy

Just found a great new online shop called Bird. It was originally a boutique in Brooklyn. They sell awesome labels like 3.1 Phillip Lim, Isabel Marant, and A.P.C. Most of the stuff is on the muy expensive side, but here and there you'll find some deals. And a girl can dream, can't she?

Abso-effing-lutely!

If you're a gal my age or a bit older, there's no doubt you witnessed the influential fashions of one fictional character, Carrie Bradshaw.

One can't help but love watching Carrie flounce around the streets of NYC in SATC, whether she's in cargo pants or Manolos.

Here's a Miss Bradshaw-inspired collection for ya, complete with nautical stripes, bright colors, and signature "Carrie" necklace:

Dog Day

Happy B-Day to my baby boy, Ralphie!

Cutest dog on the planet, I tell you.

American Beauty

I spent the 4th of July at these two ladies' house (Kels above, Moo below)

We had a good ol' fashioned American time: BBQ, sunshine, drinky-drinks, fireworks, dancing...

That's Veronica and Julianna. Veronica will gladly be your feather boa.

Hope you guys had a grand holiday too!
